Tests of Faith

Inspired by my friend, Jake, who is reaching for God and facing his own tests of faith; and to the people who continue to test mine, whom I love.

Sometimes, people will try to bring you down spiritually.

However, with God’s love in your heart, any trial is overcome. When you give your life to Jesus, the devil will do anything to get your soul back. He’ll use insecurities and weaknesses and place doubts in your mind to try to shake your faith and bring you back down. People from your past will try to come back into your life to interrupt your spiritual journey. Keep your faith in Jesus. A reward greater than anything we face on earth is waiting for you, and this life is a mere second compared to an eternity in Heaven.

I want to live for Jesus.

You could point out others’ flaws as they will quickly highlight the mistakes we’ve made in the past, but keep this in mind:

God won’t ask what kind of car you drove, He’ll ask how many people you drove who didn’t have transportation.

God won’t ask the square footage of your house, He’ll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won’t ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He’ll ask how many you helped clothe.

God won’t ask what your highest salary was, He’ll ask if you gave some to help others.

God won’t ask what your job title was, He’ll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

God won’t ask how many friends you had, He’ll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

God won’t ask in what neighbourhood you lived, He’ll ask how you treated your neighbours.

God won’t ask about the colour of your skin, He’ll ask about the content of your character.

God won’t ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation, He’ll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
